If you've never heard of mTOR (and even if you have), listen closely – it is the most highly regarded anabolic protein synthesis known to humankind. 8-1-1 BCAA Ratio With the above in mind, we formulated USPlabs Modern BCAA™ with an 8-1-1 ratio of leucine to isoleucine to valine. Data indicates that only leucine and those other amino acids structurally related to leucine are responsible for mTOR elevation, in simple terms – necessary for BCAA supplementation. This guarantees two things:
- Doses of double or more are not needed, as we have already doubled the dose of the ingredient directly responsible for protein turnover and synthesis.
- Competition between amino acids will not reduce leucine levels to the extent that mTOR regulation is affected.
Simply put, 2:1:1 and 4:1:1 ratios are not optimal for activating the mTOR pathway, and subsequent protein synthesis activation.
As you know, most people double, triple, or even quadruple their BCAA doses on a 2:1:1 and 4:1:1 basis, seeking better results. Given that the most likely amino acid responsible for effects in skeletal muscle is leucine, our presented 8:1:1 concentration eliminates the need to increase dosages. Ingredients: Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Sucrose.
Usage: As a dietary supplement, mix 1 serving (2 scoops) with 400 ml of water and shake well for about 30 seconds. Sip during your workout. An additional serving can be consumed immediately after training or at any other time of your preference. Very cold water is not recommended as it may affect solubility and cause foaming.
