Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, commonly known as Tudca, is primarily used to promote bile flow in the liver. It may help support healthy liver function and can aid in cleansing the gut. A healthy liver allows the body to regulate cholesterol levels and helps reduce other toxins in the body.

Ongoing research indicates that TUDCA reduces apoptotic effects and supports heart function. More recently, TUDCA has been found to have a protective effect on the eyes, particularly related to retinal degenerative disorders.
