Description
Electronic meter for water hardness, conductivity, and salinity – a conductivity meter.
This tester will be useful in everyday life for checking the purity of drinking water and in other areas (e.g., in aquariums or laboratory research). The device is very simple to use – just remove the cap and immerse the electrodes in the water being tested. The integrated LCD screen allows for accurate and clear measurement of water hardness (contamination with inorganic compounds) and its temperature. It does not require external power sources (mains electricity), only a single CR2032 battery, making it extremely mobile and safe for contact with water.
Product Features:
- The water hardness meter allows you to check the level of inorganic contamination in water. The meter is calibrated in "ppm" units – parts per million, which is the most popular method worldwide for determining the amount of dissolved chemical molecules in water. The less contaminated the water, the lower its electrical conductivity will be. Green, unfiltered water can be as high as 200 PPM or more.
- EC water conductivity can be considered an indicator of salt content; waters with low ion content have low electrical conductivity, while seawater, for example, has very high conductivity. The most commonly used unit for water conductivity is μS/cm (= micro-Siemens/cm). The conductivity of fresh water or pond water should be between 300 and 1200 μS/cm.
- The tester features high measurement accuracy.
- The measurement result is read on a clear LCD screen. You can immediately check if the water is safe to drink and use for other purposes.
- Using the tester is incredibly simple – just immerse the electrode in the water, and the measurement result immediately appears on the display.
- Built-in physical function buttons make the device easy to use. The HOLD function saves the measured result, and SHIFT changes the TDS/EC measurement function.
