Description

An essential for plant cultivation – this multi-functional soil tester is an indispensable tool for growing vegetables, fruits, flowers, and lawns. It will also be useful for houseplant enthusiasts!
Two Functions – This tester allows you to measure soil pH (acidity) and moisture in your garden, yard, greenhouse, or even on your balcony!
Easy to Use – Thanks to the slider, the tester is very easy and convenient to use. Reading is facilitated by the indicator and color scale.
Wide Measurement Range – The device allows you to determine moisture at one of three levels (DRY, MOIST, WET), as well as measure 8 pH value levels (from 3 to 10).
Caution! - The device should not be placed directly in water or chemical solutions. After measurement, the meter's sensor should be carefully wiped with a cloth.

Parameters such as pH (acidity) and soil moisture have a fundamental impact on the healthy development and beautiful appearance of cultivated plants, as well as on the size and quality of the harvested crops. Therefore, if you want to take your vegetable, fruit, and flower cultivation to a higher level, you need to invest in one essential device – a 2-in-1 soil tester. With our device, you will quickly and reliably determine the value of all the aforementioned soil parameters – in your garden, yard, or greenhouse, on your balcony, or in pots at home! An outdoor tester will also be useful for lawn maintenance!

Knowing the soil's pH value greatly simplifies planning and later helps maintain optimal conditions for cultivated plants. Most garden plants thrive best in soil with a slightly acidic or neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Soil with such parameters is conducive to the development of beneficial microorganisms, and mineral nutrients are easily accessible to the plant roots. Overly acidic soil destroys beneficial bacteria and promotes fungal mold, and also leads to the formation of water-insoluble chemical compounds from minerals.

Moisture Measurement:

  • Set the slider to moisture measurement (MOIST)
  • Insert the metal tip of the moisture meter into the soil, 3/4 of its height (these actions should be performed very gently to avoid damaging the meter or plant roots)
  • Moisture is measured using probes located on the metal tips.
  • Read the value on the device's scale and indicate the soil moisture level recommended for a specific plant.

pH Level Measurement:

  • Prepare one soil sample, preferably collected from several locations (300–400 g), and remove stones, grass stems, roots, leaves, etc.
  • Pour the soil into a 0.5 l jar and add a little water to make it muddy. Set the slider to pH level measurement.
  • Carefully clean the meter's tip with rough paper or a brush and insert the probe into the prepared soil.
  • After 60 seconds, record the reading on the device's scale.

Adding sulfur to the soil reduces its pH, while adding lime increases it. Smaller doses of sulfur (lime) are used for light soils with low humus content, and larger doses for fertile soils with high humus content. The appropriate soil pH value is maintained using suitable fertilizers.
